Charitable Bequest
A Charitable Bequest is the simplest form of planned giving. In your will, you can specify a particular asset, percentage of your estate, or fixed dollar amount to leave to the Madison Public Library Foundation. At-a-glance: - Make a charitable bequest in your will in any amount
- May be simply given or directed toward a specific program or branch
- May be made in any amount
Your gift will enrich the Madison community's future as well as assist us in providing continual resources for the benefit of the residents of Madison. Assuming the bequest is a part of a larger document--as in a will or trust--the wording should simply state that it is the wish of the donor to bequeath a certain number of dollars, or specific securities, or a percentage of the total assets of the estate, to the Madison Public Library Foundation, Inc., 201 W. Mifflin Street, Madison Wisconsin. Madison Public Library Foundation, Inc. does not provide tax or legal advice and the information herein is not intended as legal, tax, or investment advice. Please contact a tax advisor or an estate-planning attorney for information specific to your situation.
