Three New Endowment Funds Established
If there was ever an organization that ought to think, talk and plan in terms of permanency, it is the library foundation. We all assume that the Madison Public Library is here to stay and maintain its stature for the residents of Madison. However, in order to achieve this, we need to project what the needs of the library will be for future generations. The establishment of an Endowment Fund is a statement to the community that the library is preparing itself for the future. The library is here to stay. We are pleased to announce the establishment of three new Foundation Endowment Funds to benefit Lakeview Branch, Pinney Branch and the Hawthorne Branch. Our current list of endowment funds include: Madison Public Library Foundation General Endowment Douglas Sheve Endowment for Print Books Betsy Moon Proctor Scholarship Fund Lakeview Branch Library Endowment Pinney Branch Library Endowment Hawthorne Branch Library Endowment Foundation endowment funds are held at the Madison Community Foundation.
